The Eco-Study Tour in Hue is a tour that you can experience the natural environment and historical culture of the Huong basin, which is dotted with the last dynasty of Vietnam, Nguyen Dynasty, and the tombs of successive emperors, which are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This is an initiative aimed at realizing the concept of Hue Historic Eco-museum, which is the result of joint research between the Hue Monument Conservation Center (HMCC) and the Waseda University team in Japan, and is one of the tourism programs based on the concept of eco-tourism.
We first prepared this tour in Gia Long Tomb, the deepest, most sacred and mysterious place in the Huong basin, the mausoleum of the first emperor. The Gia-long tomb was constructed based on the philosophy of Feng-Shui principals that was designed with well-considered irrigation system and it merged the spiritual features of Vietnam.
More over, the Gia-Long tomb harmonized with the surrounding natures, the lifestyle and livelihood of the Ding-Monh village which the people have been lived as guardians of tombs. Eco-Study Tour will provide these information, that was gained through academic research, on the site for the participants. Also, you can enjoy various activities and local foods to experience the rich nature.
